NHA Passes 100-Employee Mark

We are excited to announce that NHA has passed the 100-employee mark.  This is a special milestone that reflects NHA’s growth from a small consulting firm with three employees to a leading company in the government healthcare field. Neil Hoosier founded NHA in New York in 1999 with two other employees after serving many years in leadership positions at Empire BCBS’ Medicare Division and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and becoming a nationally recognized figure on Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) and Coordination of Benefits (COB) policies and requirements. NHA’s first project was to develop the requirements for the CMS Recovery Management Accounting System (ReMAS), which would go on to be used by Medicare contractors nationwide.  Over the course of the next decade, NHA’s three-person team leveraged its expertise and innovative thinking to help CMS develop and improve a range of MSP and COB programs, systems, and processes. Since its first project, NHA has taken its focus on innovation and expertise and rapidly expanded to other services and other areas of the Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as state and private sector work.  We now offer solutions for all aspects of government program operations, from program management and integration, to audit and oversight, to system development and maintenance, to training and outreach.  We have helped develop and improve some of the most complex government programs, including the Medicare-Medicaid program integrity process and the Medicare appeals program. The three-person group based in Pomona, NY has now grown to a team of 100+ renowned industry experts, PMP-certified Project Directors, certified instructional designers, developers and analysts across more than a dozen states with a state-of-the-art office in Owings Mills, MD and a robust teleworking infrastructure that has allowed us to remain fully functional in today’s uncertain environment.
